The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 比第一部好看，节奏明快，有镜头设计，有宏大叙事，也有泪点，似曾相识的规格感。
任何成功或失败的战役都是有意义的。
没有亲历过战争炮火的人没有资格说三道四。
这个桥为什么这么重要最后看的还是莫名其妙。易烊千玺的幸存也是莫名其妙。
如果知道了结局，就是无论如何努力终归只是体验一个过程，那么那些战士是选择拼死一搏还是选择全身而退，在战场上没有错与对，只有去执行任务或者任务失败，花出很大的代价通过战争去赢得面子，那么交战的双方都是输家，一打仗就输了。

战火的硝烟，无声的回忆，把全部人打光也要完成任务的勇气和决心……好吧，迟早的事！新中国万岁！
看完心情很沉重。
对于人物，烘托人物关系的“情”不细致、容易疲倦；有人物弧光变化的，例如伍万里对于战争认识——从杀敌到战争人性，但影片强调的“英雄”概念仍在，虽然英雄肉体会亡，但精神高尚永存，最后伍千里的重新出现特别像《大路》里对于无产阶级革命者的诠释。
看得出来影片成本很高，拍的很辛苦，演员表演很卖力气，没了

这不是主旋律电影的进步，是影视行业在前十年得了“小时代”的病之后的康复阶段。前面塑造空洞，以至于后面几个大老爷的大吼大叫，及格线边缘的视觉水平却不如2009年《风声》的平静收尾台词来的震撼。
