During the US Civil War, Union POWs escape in a balloon and end up stranded on a South Pacific island, inhabited by giant plants and animals. In 1865, during the siege of Richmond, Virginia, the union soldiers POW Captain Harding, Neb and Herbert escape in a balloon during a storm with two confederate prisoners, Sergeant Pencroft and the journalist Spilett. The uncontrollable wind takes the balloon to a mysterious island in the South Pacific in the area of New Zealand. Captain Harding self-proclaims the leader of the group and they look for food; sooner they discover that they are stranded in an island. Further, they are attacked by a giant crab that becomes their first meal. Along the days, they build a shelter and finds that the island is inhabited by giant animals. A couple of days later, they find two castaways on the beach, the aristocratic Lady Mary Fairchild and her sexy niece Elena. Later they find a trunk with weapons and instruments like sextant and shelter with a journal of a man left alone in the island by pirates. When the pirate vessel arrives in the island, they are helped by Captain Nemo of the Nautilus, a submarine that had supposedly sunk in the coast of Mexico eight years ago. 挺有意思的，就是看的过程中好奇男主作为职业屠夫，杀任何动物之后第一件事不是应该先放血嘛。。。
男主角太拉了，反观素食主义者们，甚至比男主角更强，至少他们敢反抗。
前面还是比较沉闷的，直到轮船上才开始精彩，象棋部分拍的比较精彩，总体来说不过不失，表现的还是人类精神的伟大，像《心流》中阐述的，人有了精神的依靠，可以战胜再大的困境，哪怕在牢笼中，你也可以自由翱翔！男主是《暗》里的警察，演的不错！

内核其实是个家庭/婚姻故事，经营不善的屠夫，梦想成为连环杀手的妻子，掉进钱眼里的老友和喋喋不休的素食“伊朗猪”
哈哈哈哈哈哈导演是有多想吐槽素食主义者啊，去他的zzzq，有点恶心又有点好笑。

挺可爱的欧洲小片，把能讽刺的和不能讽刺的都讽刺了个遍，但是结尾又保留了一点小温情。
在诚挚的反思过后，一切似乎又来的不甚解渴…
叹为观止。恶心，震撼，完全不知道如何评价。
还是法国人敢拍，这片在美国的政治环境下绝对拍不出来。对极端素食主义者的批判很犀利，还顺便把资本家、执法者、媒体和普通群众都黑了一把。作为一个间歇性吃素以修身养性者，看得很欢乐，并不觉得被冒犯。文化自由不就是这样吗？得让人敢说话。
虽然似懂非懂，但主角的演技真的太好了很震撼
十分推荐，作为电影来说拍得非常工整，没有一个镜头和细节是浪费的。
三星半，吐槽有趣精准且底色荒谬，洗掉了那种常见的高傲感，超五星的题设
挺没劲的 设定简单粗暴直切主题 感觉只是把关于时政话题的看法未经修饰地夸张化影像化了 手法也特无聊都是老梗 如果有人喜欢低俗的黑色幽默可以痛快一笑 不然非常没意思一点也不好笑也不促进思考反而会让人反感一切 很不推荐
