The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? With a keen eye and fresh take, Aselton’s directorial debut shines with crisp storytelling and fine-tuned performances. 很可惜的一点就是故事弱于画面了，不知道是不是因为三十年前的设想在今日已经屡见不鲜……但真的，好佩服啊，好佩服！
我愿意相信标题的「疯神」指的是创作者自己，想象力的混乱集合体，一个颓废、疯狂、残忍的世界，充满了死亡和不可名状的生命，机械而又非理性。
令人叹为观止的场景设计，前所未有的视觉冲击。第一次看这种级别的意识流电影（主要还是看得少），里面的隐喻懂是不可能懂，但在一知半解中那种讽刺的味道总会缓缓品出来，期待以后二刷的收获。
Phil前后花了30年筹划制作，定格技术是真的棒，画面非常流畅，叙事略无趣(中间我甚至看睡着了两三次)，但不妨碍它优秀的视觉效果
